TEAM ELYSE!

Dear Friends, Family and Co-workers:

On September 29th, our family will be participating in Hamilton’s First Annual Buddy Walk in support of our 8 month-old daughter Elyse and the Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton (DSAH).  Please come and join us as we walk to promote awareness, acceptance, education and inclusion!  The Buddy Walk is FREE to attend, and open to everyone in the community.

Whether you can join our team for the walk or not, please consider supporting TEAM ELYSE by visiting her web page to make a donation:  http://hamiltonbuddywalk.ca/team/elyse/

I can also collect pledges in person, by cash or cheque made out to the Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton.  Whatever is most convenient for you. J

Any donation of $20 or more receives a charitable tax receipt, and those who take the Walker Fundraiser CHALLENGE (by donating a minimum of $10 per family member participating in the walk) receive a FREE t-shirt on the day of the event.

Every walker must register.  Please remember to REGISTER for the walk, AND make all donations under TEAM ELYSE to show your support and get a FREE t-shirt!!!

For more detailed information about our Buddy Walk, please visit the official Hamilton Buddy Walk Page at: www.hamiltonbuddywalk.ca

More reasons why you should consider supporting this very worthy cause…

Shortly after Elyse was born, we became members of DSAH, and it has been a tremendous network of friendship, support and information.  The Buddy Walk is DSAH’s major fundraiser for the year, and will directly impact the types of programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families that we are able to fund.

Going beyond having a daughter with Down syndrome, I have become even more personally invested in this event as a member of the Buddy Walk Committee – helping to organize this fantastic walk.  I am also a member of the Executive Board of DSAH, as a new parent representative - helping organize events and meetings for new parents like myself.

What I would ask of all of you is to please consider making the Down Syndrome Association of Hamilton your go-to charity to support!

PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, and I cannot wait to see all those who are able the day of the event!

With our deepest gratitude and many thanks,

Adelle, Dan, Ariel and Elyse Purdham
