Up until being asked that question, without her regular nap, Ariel had been running around in circles. But as we all chimed in to sing Baby Beluga, by Raffi, Ariel joined in, singing all the words (while still running in circles). She sang a good majority of the words better than most of the adults - including me! Ask Dan about how I 'choose' lyrics for songs, words that sound something like the original but are no where close to the actual lyrics of the song, and you would have been impressed by Ariel's singing.
The reason Baby Anuga became one of her favourite songs has a lot to do with a certain Grandma and Grandad who LOVE listening to Raffi with their grandchildren. Ariel has come to associate G & G's with Raffi, to the point that he often makes the list of who will be attending our family's weekly Sunday dinners.
When it's time to go home and head to bed, Raffi takes a rest too.
At last weekend's Sunday dinner, Dan captured this short clip of Isla and Ariel (not to mention a handful of adults) dancing to Ariel's favourite song: Baby Anuga! Take it away Grandad...
