Day 28: You Can't Catch Me

Okay, so being as it is Halloween in a few days and all, tonight's post was going to be a photo story of our family pumping carving session; however, in lieu of carving our pumpkin tonight, Ariel and I made festive gingerbread men cookies instead!  Yeah!

When you've been celebrating Halloween since late August, it starts to feel done by now.  Raffi's Christmas album is on our 'most recently played' playlist.  Beware ghosts.  Fly home witches!  Santa, here we come!

We interrupt this blog post for a ***CUTE BABY ALERT!***

While Ariel still slumbered, and I prepared the dough, Elyse played and played.
Here she is:

Our gingerbread men, sans ginger (we didn't have any!).  So technically, as Dan pointed out, these are our 'bread men'.

Ariel's healthy salmon and vegetable dinner cast aside for her cookie masterpiece.  Shirt #2:  the first one was covered in flour (she woke up in time to help me roll and punch out the cookies!)

Ariel's creation (of which she only licked off the icing and other adornments!)
