After a dog walk this morning and trip down the road to the wonderful Ancaster library to play with the trains, we finally managed to get Ariel to have a rest before our planned busy afternoon of back to back fun! When she awoke, we scooped her up and headed out the door to visit friends and then to attend her cousin Aiden's 7th Birthday party. The following is an assortment of photos from the day.
Playing with trains at the library:
Trip to Mike and Jenny's new house:
11 month-old twins, Cooper and Nolan
Ariel was discouraging the boys from trying to take 'her' ball by using a sort of low growling noise. I blame daycare for the behaviour (and any other social behaviour I otherwise find undesirable)
Big sister awoken from her slumber: Princess Mackenzie with Princess Ariel
HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY AIDEN:
Loudest, most enthusiastic party-goer - I kid you not
The intricacies of the Big Kid table
Aiden building with his Uncle Daniel (Dan was very impressed with the complexities and level of commitment and involvement it took to complete these Lego projects - "It says 65 minutes for completion!" You either need to be 7, or have your PhD to complete this assignment.)
The cupcakes were a home-run
Aiden receiving his "Happy Birthday" song under the table...
...Though he did not miss his cue to enter the song - "Are you 5? Are you 6? Are you 7? -STOPPPP!!!!"
Ariel entertaining the birthday guests past her bed time
Aiden and Julian showing off their "best brother pose"

Sorry to have missed this night.
